Employee Spotlight: Dana Fredericks

The Employee Spotlight series aims to highlight the diverse, talented and ambitious individuals that make our company a success.

Today were excited to shine a spotlight on Dana Fredericks, Senior Account Manager for Dunkin Brands!

Dana has been with Uni-Structures for over four years and was nominated for going above and beyond her duties everyday as an account manager. She is a skillful multitasker and a strong communicator. She is passionate about nurturing relationships and building trust with her clients. Besides being a stellar account manager, Dana also serves as a member of our employee engagement committee. She is always eager to lend a helping hand and her positivity and bubbly personality makes her a joy to work with!

Will you briefly describe your role at Uni-Structures?

I am a Senior Account Manager. This means that I manage large brand accounts for our customers (both from the Corporate end and Franchisee or GC). My duties range from everyday account transactions to an entire product line change.

What is your favorite part about your job?

My favorite part is developing relationships with our customers and earning and developing their trust. It brings me joy to bring them success.

What have you learned as an account manager for Dunkin’?

I have learned that their brand has truly been evolving these last couple years and continues to grow and expand with their Next Gen marketing efforts. I have learned that the franchisees and field teams trust us to do our very best to educate them on our product, and that communication is so very important each step of the way. It is truly a partnership.

Dana is an Ambassador for Kate’s Club, shown here at their 2019 Mourning Glory Gala, with Tanya Sam, who was the 2020 Gala Co-Chair, member of the Kate’s Club Board of Directors, Director of Partnerships at TechSquare Labs, a technology startup hub and venture capital fund and Founder of The Ambition Fund.

What are your favorite activities to do outside of the office?

I love to travel, spend time with my family and volunteer. I am an ambassador for the local nonprofit Kate’s Club, which supports children ages 5-18 who are facing the loss of a parent or sibling. Pre-pandemic, we would volunteer to do therapeutic activities with the children in-person at their clubhouse in Atlanta, GA. Twice a year, we would take a weekend camping trip with them at Camp Twin Lakes. Currently because of the Pandemic, we are doing what we can to empower and support these grieving children via Zoom. I also serve on Kate’s Club Gala Auction Committee to help raise money for their programs and services.

What is one thing you can’t live without?

Coffee, of course! I’ve been recently becoming obsessed with Dunkin Cold Brews.

Tell us a fun fact about yourself?

When I was in high school, I was a U.S. Senate Page and worked at the US Capitol for 3 months. I was able to witness Senate voting and even attended joint sessions of Congress, including one where the Queen of England spoke and one where Gen. Norman Schwarzkopf addressed Congress!
