Employee Spotlight: Rob York

The Employee Spotlight series aims to highlight the diverse, talented and ambitious individuals that make our company a success.

It is time to share another well-deserved Employee Spotlight! Project Coordinator, Rob York has been nominated by his team for his hard work and dedication to his team, projects and accounts.

Rob has only been with us for a little over a year and yet he has had such a positive impact on this organization and those around him. Rob recently transitioned into the Project Coordinator position for Dunkin, Chicken Salad Chick and Chipotle and has once again hit the ground running. Rob is often the first to work and last to leave, working tirelessly to meet the needs of the projects and his team!

We cannot thank you him enough for his hard work and his efforts do not go unnoticed!

Will you briefly describe your role at Uni-Structures?

I am a Project Coordinator supporting the Dunkin, Chipotle & Chicken Salad Chick accounts. The purpose is to coordinate the order, once it has been approved, to its final destination (delivery, customer pick-up or installation at the job site).

What is your favorite part about your job?

I enjoy getting to work with Manufacturing, Sales, Operations, L&S, Field Specialists and Support Teams on a daily basis because it keeps me on my toes and I never have a boring day.  I am blessed to work with some GREAT people every day and am thankful for their support and help.

What are your favorite activities to do outside of the office?

My favorite way to spend the extra time outside of work is with my best friend/wife of 33-years, Angela. I also volunteer at my church, Summit Baptist, on the Video & Audio Ministry to provide a live stream of the services and assist with any other operations needs.  I also help out as a handyman for some of the church members in need. Hitting the gun range time and washing dishes is how I like to reduce my stress when possible. I also enjoy supporting the Trail Life program at my church.

What is one thing you can’t live without?

Jesus Christ in my life and the love of my wonderful wife.

What is something that few people know about you?

I am a Trail Life Leader at my church and work with youth ages 13-20. I take them backpacking overnight in the mountains to enjoy what God has provided for us. I enjoy teaching the young men to be Men of Honor, trusting in God and be a great friend.

Do you have a personal motto or mantra?

Semper Fidelis.  Trust in God.  Love my Family with all my heart and protect them with a passion.

Where is your favorite place to be?

My favorite place to be is hanging with family & friends.  Eating Mexican food (salsa & chips), on a cruise or enjoying some gun range time.
