Job Summary
The Facilities and Maintenance Tech is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems as well as our fleet of installation vehicles to ensure optimal operating results.
Essential Functions
- Conduct routine inspections of premises and equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Handle basic repairs and maintenance
- Oversee contractors when subcontracted repairs are necessary
- Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them
- Repair machines, equipment, structures, and/or vehicles as necessary
- Inspect and maintain company vehicles including keeping an up-to-date maintenance log
- Maintain adequate parts inventory and order items as necessary
- Ensure compliance with safety and security protocols
Skills and Qualifications
- Maintenance experience of 3+ years.
- Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
- Experience inspecting and repairing air compressor equipment.
- Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
- Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices.
- Proven electrical and wiring experience.
- Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Strong attention to detail including in written format.
- Strong time management skills.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly lift 30-50 pounds with no assistance.
- Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time (8 to 10 hours per day).
- Must be able to bend, twist, push, pull, and squat regularly.
