Product Installation Assistant

Product Loader / Installation Specialist Assistant

Summary / Objective

The primary responsibility for this position is to ensure high quality of products leaving our warehouse on time and to assist our Installers and Specialists on job sites.

Responsibilities:

• Quality control of finished goods prior to departing warehouse

• Ensure trucks are loaded properly and safely for on-time departure

• Construct wooden crates for shipping USI products to job sites

• Effectively and efficiently lay out loads for trucks

• Load crates containing USI products for common carriers

• Safely operate miter saw, radial/panel saw and various other small hand tools

• Make straps which includes cutting sheet metal

• Safely operate overhead crane (after proper training and certification)

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of loading area in shop

• Practice proper PPE compliance and maintain safe working record and environment

• Safely operate forklift (after proper training and certification)

• Assist Installers and Specialists in the field both locally and out of state

• Safely operate company vehicles

• Additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned

Job Requirements:

• Available for local and out of state travel on short notice. Duration of trips can last from 2 to 4 days at a time on weekdays and/or weekends.

• Pass DOT physical and maintain DOT medical card

• Clean Motor Vehicle Record

• Ability to operate various hand tools

• Ability to work comfortably from a ladder

• Ability to stand and be mobile for 8 or more consecutive hours

• Ability to perform physical labor for extended period of times in temperature extremes

• Ability to perform full range of body motion on a regular daily basis, including twisting, bending, reaching, and squatting.

• Lifting and moving heavy items on a regular daily basis
